All,

As many of you may know or some of you may not one of our members FFIII Gregg Reid's son Colby Reid is in a battle with Stage IV Anaplastic Large Cell (Non-Hodgkins) Lymphoma. There are several fundraising events being organized in order to support Colby and his family during his battle with this cancer.

The New Market District VFC #15/25 has began to show their support by organizing several activities to support Colby Reid and his family.

Attached above is a flyer for Helmet sized for $5 (2") and vehicle sized for $10 (4") stickers that we are beginning to sell for Colby, these will be available at the station at any time or they can be requested via contact with myself.

We have also started a T-shirt fundraiser for his cause and T-shirts, Long Sleeve T-shirts and Hooded Sweatshirts can be ordered via this link www.teespring.com/support-colbystrong

Friend of the family have also established a GoFundMe account any and all donations are greatly appreciated and this page as well as the Colby Fights Facebook page keeps an ongoing update of Colby's status as well as the events planned to raise funds for Colby's Fight. https://www.gofundme.com/HelpColbyFight

Every penny of funds raised from our efforts are going to be given to the family to be utilized for expenses related to this fight.

Colby's Story -

"Colby Reid's family was just like any other family with three boys in school, juggling homework and sports and family activities, when Colby, age 12, woke up one Saturday complaining of a toothache.

By the following day, his jaw had swollen considerably, so his concerned mother took him to the dentist right away. After x-rays showed nothing wrong with his teeth, he was referred to an oral surgeon, and by the end of the week, the family was sitting in front of an Oncology specialist at Children's Hospital in Washington, D.C., having a conversation that is every parents' worst nightmare.

After much testing and torturous waiting, Colby was diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell (Non-Hodgkins) Lymphoma. His status has been classified as Stage IV. He will begin chemotherapy treatment this month for a duration of six months. Doctors have warned that his tumors are growing and he has aggressive deterioration in his bones."
