Around 0500hrs on Monday November 11th, the Box Alarm was struck for units to respond to Urbana Co.23's first due for the house fire, Engine-153(Sgt Kennedy), Rescue Squad-15(FC Nalborczyk) and Ambulance-159(FFIII Garst) responded on the assignment with a total of thirteen (13) volunteers. First arriving units went on the scene with a garage fire with extension to the residence. Upon arrival of Engine-153 they dropped an additional supply line from an independent source and advanced a 300' line to assist with fire suppression on Division-1. Rescue Squad-15 arrived shortly after and began the Primary Search, Controlled Utilities and Opened Up as they went. Co.15 units operated for two (2) hours before being placed in service. Ambulance-159 established and maintained the Rehab Area for responders working on the scene.
