On Sunday May 24th, 2020 the New Market District Volunteer Fire Company Fireman's Festival Committee met and discussed the upcoming 2020 Fireman's Festival scheduled for July 30th through August 1st, 2020.

After a lengthy discussion, weighing the uncertainty of the COVID-19 restrictions and what may lie ahead as well as the safety of our members and community during these times, it was voted unanimously to CANCEL our festival until next year. We have already decided to host next years festival on July 29th, July 30th and July 31st.

This was a very difficult decision for our department to make as we had much great ambition and hopes of resurrecting a fundraiser that had fallen dormant for many years and making it an enjoyable event full of family fun and memories as well as serving as one of our biggest fundraisers in the calendar year. However the safety of our members and the community are our #1 focus.

Please pay close attention to our Facebook and Website for more information about future fundraisers and ways to support our department including information about our upcoming Door to Door Fundraiser that we will be able to move forward with this year.

We truly appreciate all the continued community support which has been nothing shy of amazing during this epidemic, without the support of our community and members we could not continue to function in the posture in which we have.
