July 16, 2011

On Saturday July 16th at approximately 1630 hours, members were busy serving the chicken dinner when Box 17-27 was alarted for the house fire on Hillside Turn in Woodville. RE153(Laird), ET154(Nalborczyk), U15(Williamson), and Car 15(Lawson) responded on the run with a total of 12 personnel. First arriving Car 15 went on the scene with fire showing from the eaves and roof of a single story house. C17(More) arrived shortly after and established the Hillside Turn Command. E172 arrived and stretched a line to the Alpha side. RE153 arrived seconds after E172 and pulled a backup line to the Charlie side. ET154 arrived next and laid out from Harrisville Road and Hillside Turn. ET154-A(Nalborczyk) had water supply. The fire was knocked within minutes and crews began to check for extension along the roof line. It was determined that downed power lines had caused an electrical fire in the house.
